Ron — 29 years old, gray Quarter Horse Ron came to Genki Farm from Kyoto University’s Equestrian Club during the COVID-19 pandemic. Though he appears to be a calm and gentle old gentleman, he’s actually a determined, headstrong grandpa with plenty of spirit! As the oldest horse at the farm, he sometimes struggles with joint pain and weaker muscles in his chest and hindquarters. His right hind leg, in particular, is sensitive when lifting during hoof cleaning. Ron lost sight in his right eye due to an old injury. Thankfully, his dedicated caretaker visits the farm daily to look after him with love and care.
